CITY OF MANHATTAN, KANSAS
MANHATTAN REGIONAL AIRPORT
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Manhattan, Kansas at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, City Commission Room, 1101 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas until 3:00 p.m. local time, on June 21, 2022, at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids received after said time will be returned to the bidder unopened. These bids will be for the furnishing of all labor and materials, and performing all the Work in accordance with the drawings and specifications for:

The project will include but is not limited to the following major categories of work:
CONCRETE PAVEMENT (165,582 SY); EMBANKMENT IN PLACE (116,816 CY); CRUSHED AGGREGATE BASE COURSE (38,476 TONS); STABILIZED BASE (17,706 CY); RUBBLIZATION OF CONCRETE (122,166 SY); GROOVING (123,333 SY); STORM SEWERS (2,576 LF); UNDERDRAINS (24,620 LF); LIGHTING; SIGNS; NAVIGATIONAL AIDS; MARKING (186,918 SF); AND SEEDING (92 AC)

Copies of the Plans, Specifications and other Contract Documents are on file and available for public inspection at the Manhattan Regional Airport, Administration Building, 5490 Skyway Drive, Manhattan, Kansas, 66502. Attendance at the prebid conference is required for this project. The prebid conference will be held at City Hall, City Commission Room, 1101 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas, 66502 on June 2, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Contractors also have the option to inspect the project site by an escorted tour, which will be held following the prebid conference. A seat for this tour must be reserved as specified in the Notice to Bidders.
All persons awarded and/or entering into Contracts with the City of Manhattan shall be subject to and required to comply with all applicable city, state, and federal provisions pertaining to non-discrimination, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action on public Contracts.
This project is subject to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended. The Contractor is required to comply with the wage and labor requirements and to pay minimum wages in accordance with the schedule of wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor.
This project is subject to the requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation. The Airport Sponsor has established a contract goal of 6.7% participation for small business concerns owned and controlled by qualified disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE). The bidder shall make and document good faith efforts, as defined in Appendix A of 49 CFR Part 26, to meet the established goal.
